Hawaiian Pineapple Meatballs

This is an easy slow cooker meal that you’ll love. I’ve been making pineapple meatballs for years. This time, I decided to change things up by adding barbecue sauce.

I used precooked turkey meatballs. These have been flamed broiled, and there are loads of meatballs in the bag.

You’re going to need a can of pineapple slices or chunks.

One 28 oz bottle of barbecue sauce of your choice.

I add crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat which melds with the pineapple flavor. I use bay leaves in almost everything.

Chop some green pepper and red onions and put them in the bottom of a slow cooker.

Put the turkey meatballs and  the can of pineapples with the juice into the slow cooker. I put the whole bottle of barbecue sauce on top of everything.

Add a bay leaf, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sea salt.  I also put a couple of splashes of Worcestshire sauce in to give the meatballs a richer taste. Let the mixture cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 to  8 hours.

I like to put the sweet and spicy Hawaiian Meatballs on a bed of rice. You can also layer it over spaghetti noodles or make a meatball sub with mozzarella cheese on top. Enjoy!

Stay Blessed,
