This is the first part of my Pinching Pennies series. I find the deals and tell you where to get them. This post will focus on where and how to find name brand beauty products for cheap.
Every season, I like to stock up on beauty products. I have really dry skin in the winter, and I start stocking up on moisturizers in the fall before my skin resembles gets dry and tough.
I absolutely love Derma-E products. It’s a natural facial care brand that doesn’t contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy, or GMOs. Read more about the company here Derma-E.
Since I have dry skin, I like Derma-E hydrating cleanser with hyaluronic acid, but Derma-E has formulas for every skin type. A 6 oz bottle costs $15.50, but I purchased it for $11.00 at Fresh Thyme. Ulta also has sales on Derma-E skin care, and you can buy the products at a discounted price at Vitacost.com.
I popped into Marshall’s and found this little gem. Derma-E Even Tone Brightening Day Cream for $6.99. The cream usually costs around $24 a jar and it works. My skin was dull and discolored and after a few weeks of using the even-tone cream, it looks bright and healthy. Finding Derma-E at Marshall’s is hit or miss but keep a sharp out for it.
Badger lip balm is another organic all natural company that has great products. I was at Fresh Thyme when I noticed a sale on the lip balms marked down from $4.99 to $1.99 a piece. Learn more about the company here Badger.
I searched the web and finally found a couple of deals on Badger lip balms at Walgreens.com. These lip balms are moisturizing but they’re pricey, so if you see a sale, grab a few.
I prefer to use witch hazel as a toner because it’s natural. I found this Humphrey’s witch hazel at Marshall’s for $5.99. It’s loaded with good stuff like aloe vera, papaya, hyaluronic acid, and lilac. I also like Thayer’s witch hazel. I’ve found both brands at a variety of stores on sale.
These cucumber eye pads are always in Marshall’s and TJ Maxx for less than five dollars. They work wonders on bags, wrinkles, and puffiness.
This Sunny Isle black castor oil has made a major difference in my life. I rub it on my feet to relieve swelling and pain. I also put it on my shoulders and arms to stave off pain related to my rheumatoid arthritis. It’s been like a miracle drug to me. I’ve been able to walk for longer periods of time and the numbness and nerve spasms have decreased. I can’t ever be without this stuff. I bought these two 4 oz bottles at Marshall’s for $5.99 each. It’s also sold at Wal-Mart, CVS, Sally’s, and Target. Or you can order online here Sunny Isle Black Castor Oil.
I love these sprays by Nature Love. You can spray them on your pillow, your body or throughout the room. $3.99 at Marshall’s.
I picked up these makeup brushes at Marshall’s as well. The cost ran from $2.99 to $6.99 for the three-piece contour brush set. I have to say they’re all good quality and work well for me.
Stay blessed,
Barbie
