It’s time to review my December Birchbox and Ipsy goodies. I got some great products in both of my monthly deliveries. Let’s start with Birchbox.
The front of the box is white with a silver pattern which is perfect for the Holidays.
The back is a wonderful lime green. This is my favorite box so far.
Here’s a look at the samples inside.
The first thing I noticed was a $10 coupon to use in the Birchbox online store. That along with the points I’ve accumulated will be used towards a purchase.
As always, the box includes a card with the full-size prices of the samples.
I received a nice size sample of Amika nourishing hair mask. This has got some great ingredients in it such as sea buckthorn berry. Full-size $28
This is a cute matchbox sampler from Coastal Scents. These are great colors for a smoky eye or an after-five look. Full-size $12
I’m really excited about this Eyeko fat liquid liner. The tip is like a marker and makes drawing a cat eye easy. Full-size $16
Isn’t this the cutest cover. The Sincerely Harvey Prince perfume comes in an attractive package, but the smell is mediocre. It’s described as a spicy sweet scent with Indonesian clove bud, Indian tuberose and Japanese orange flower. Full-size $28-$57
This sample of Soap and Paper Factory hand cream is incredible. It has shea butter in it with a green tea scent. The smell is amazing, and I will purchase the full-size container which is $18. Yes. It’s that good.
I love the December Ipsy bag. Red is one of my favorite colors and the patent leather look really makes this bag unique and appealing. I’ll use it to store some of my lipsticks.
Let’s start with what I didn’t like in the bag. I have straight relaxed hair but Ipsy insists on sending me products for naturally curly hair. I quickly gave it away. Note to Ipsy….don’t send me any more hair products I can’t use.
Moving on to the good stuff.
I got yet another sample of eyeshadow primer. That’s cool with me because I’ve accumulated a nice supply so I don’t have to buy any.
I got a Peony shadow trio.
These colors rock, especially the gold. It’s gorgeous. I enjoy receiving these small palettes from Ipsy and Birchbox because they’re great to leave at work for a quick touch-up or they’re perfect for travel.
This perfume is called So Nude by Costume National. It has a spicy sexy smell. One of the ingredients is ylang ylang which is a scent that attracts people to you. I often wear ylang ylang by itself, but this perfume mixes it with cedar and patchouli for an intoxicating scent. This in one of the best perfumes I’ve smelled in a long time.
I saved my favorite for last. Pacifica Power of Love vegan lipstick. It’s cruelty free which is always a good thing. The color is Sweet One.
It’s a great neutral tone for brown skin. The formula is a dry and has a matte feel to it, so I’d suggest using chapstick. If you’re looking for a good neutral color for darker skin hues, try this lipstick.
Birchbox and Ipsy subscriptions are each $10 a month. You can purchase items from their online store. Here are the links: https://www.ipsy.com/ and https://www.birchbox.com.
