*This shopping spree was done pre-COVID-19 Quarantine. I had some health issues, but I’m back in action now! More posts to come.
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite grocery stores. I pop my head in at least once a month because it’s not always budget-friendly. Okay, maybe it’s me. I buy too much.
Trader Joe’s Coconut Shrimp is a rare treat. I always pick these up. $5.99
Since I eat a lot of shrimp, I always grab a bottle of shrimp cocktail sauce. The Trader Joe’s brand has just enough kick to it.
Trader Joe’s Cilantro Salad dressing is sugar-free. Most people think this dressing is delicious. However, it’s the first ingredient is mayonnaise and canola oil, so I wouldn’t use it every day. $3.99
Trader Joe’s Smoked Andouille Chicken Sausage. These are so tasty. $3.99
Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Fries. $1.99
I love Trader Joe’s freshly shaved Parmesan, Romano & Asiago cheese. It’s made of raw milk which is good for you.
I never checkout without a container of Trader Joe’s Kalamata Olive Hummus. This may very well be my favorite hummus. $1.99
Trader Joe’s Coconut Milk which has a much lower sodium content than almond milk.
I grabbed this container of almond milk for my back-up storage without thinking. You can see how much higher the sodium is than coconut milk. 10mg in coconut milk and 150 mg in almond milk.
Trader Joe’s has budget-friendly seasonings. The 21 Seasoning Salute has everything but salt in it. $1.99
Garlic Salt has roasted garlic, parsley, sea salt, and onion. I already have this at home, but I had to buy a back-up. $1.99
Pineapple Salsa is very mild. Lately, my braces have made my mouth very sensitive, so spicy is out. This is delicious with tortilla chips or on fish.
I’m very picky about granola and protein bars. I decided to try the Organic Hemp Seed bars with cashew, almonds, and, blueberries. These taste good and are extremely healthy. I bought two boxes. $3.99
Chomps Grass Fed Beef stick. This has 9 grams of protein and 90 calories and no sugar. $1.69.
Trader Joe’s Organic Stone Ground Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. These chips have sprouted amaranth, quinoa, and chia seeds. $2.99
Trader Joe’s Organic Coconut Smoothie. I’m not a coconut fan, but this drink is bearable. It has two ingredients coconut water and coconut meat. $1.99 each.
Italian Meatless Sausage. I’ve been picking up meatless products to try out. I still eat plenty of poultry and seafood, but I like options. These are great as a quick snack for those of us trapped at home.
This oatmeal and honey soap is moisturizing. It’s only $1.69
These cucumbers and citrus face wipes smell delicious and have the perfect amount of moisture. My face feels refreshed after using these wipes. Love them!
Spa Face Wash with tea tree oil. This cleanser is more on the liquid side, but I’ll use it.
Lemongrass Coconut Body Oil. I love the smell of lemongrass. coconut, almond, jojoba oil are in the mixture. It’s been working wonders on my cuticles, heels, and hair.
I’d like to run over to Trader Joe’s to repurchase some of these products, but I’ll have to wait. As a high-risk person with an autoimmune disease, I’ll stay home and dream about the day that I can stroll down a store aisle without fear.
Stay blessed and stay safe,
Barbie
