Jaboneria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar with Charcoal. A fancy name for a body scrub, but does it work? I received this oil and salt scrub in my Fabfitfun subscription box. It costs $48 dollars for 7.2 oz. and $86 for 16 oz.
The scrub doesn’t have a scent. However, this product is all natural which I love. It contains Hawaiian Black Lava sea salt, charcoal, dead sea salt, Epsom salt, European fine sea salt, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, honey, green tea, aloe vera, olive oil, coffee, brown sugar, and soybean oil. All natural is usually best, but is it worth the coins?
You have to mix the oil and salt together to make a paste. This is always messy but worth it if the body scrub is good. Let’s look at the competition before we discuss the results.
Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in coconut lime is one of my longtime favorite scrubs. You can buy it everywhere, and it’s usually around seven or eight bucks. The smell is incredible. There are some darn good ingredients in this scrub such as shea butter, evening primrose, safflower seed, sweet almond, avocado, and orange oil.
The Tree Hut Sugar Scrub is already mixed. Just scoop it out and apply it to your body. It looks good enough to eat and smells like a coconut lime slushy.
Just a side note. I also buy the body wash and shea body butter to go with the scrub. All three products cost a little more than $20.
Now for the showdown:
The Jaboneria Marianella Hawaiin scrub is luxurious. The ingredients are high-end and exotic. I’m guessing they’re premium salts and oils. However, I’ve picked up salt scrubs at Marshall’s that have left my skin more moisturized. All natural can be done far cheaper than $48 a container. You can make your own scrubs at home or…
You can purchase a Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub for a quarter of the price. Does it have the premium ingredients? Heck no! But it works. My skin feels like silk and smells good. I like the fact I don’t panic if a scoop of this scrub falls on the shower floor. With the expensive stuff, I salvage every bit. More than anything Tree Hut just works better for me than the caviar scrub. Here’s a link to the website: Tree Hut Body Scrubs.
You can check out the Jaboneria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar here: Body Caviar. I’ll use every drop of luxury scrub. Who knows when I’ll receive such a high-priced salt scrub again. However, I would never buy it because there are too many cheaper and more effective alternatives.
Stay blessed,
Barbie
