Many people suffer from dry skin in the winter. If you’re like me, it can be a major problem. I get chapped lips, dry patches on my faces, peeling cuticles, and rough skin.
So as soon as the weather cools down, I start using my dry skin emergency kit. First, you must have a tub of 100% whipped shea butter. You can buy it online but if you have local hair supply store, try to find it there first. It’s usually cheaper at about five bucks a container. Every day, I mix the shea butter with a scented lotion and rub it into my skin. On extremely dry areas like my feet, knees, and elbows, I apply the shea butter by itself. Guaranteed, you’ll see a difference. No more cracked skin.
Every night I massage my feet with Burt Bee’s Coconut Foot Creme. It’s soothing and moisturizing. There’s Vitamin E, lanolin, peppermint, and rosemary in it. This stuff is amazing, and I’m never without it. $9
This is my number one secret for keeping my face smooth and moisturized throughout the dry winter months. Josie Maran’s 100% Pure Argan Oil. This oil is pricey but worth it. I put a couple of drops of the argan oil in my moisturizer and rub it on my face. I buy the Josie Maran Argan Oil at QVC for $48 which includes a gift of a moisturizing stick.
As long as I have these three items, my face, body, cuticles, and feet stay in good shape all winter long. Let me know if you try any of these products and how they work for you.
Stay blessed,
