Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale: January 2017 Haul:

This is the time to stock up on all your favorite Bath & Body Works products. Their Semi-Annual sale is happening now and there’s loads of stuff marked down from 50% to 75% off.

The sale started in early January and will continue for another week. I bought my items over a two-week period which included four trips to two different stores. During these sales, I try to focus on the 75% off items, but I did end up buying some 50% off products. I used a $10 off $40 coupon on those items.

These body scrubs were around $4 a piece. I haven’t bought BBW sugar scrubs in a while, so I wanted to get some. The Warm Vanilla Sugar and Japanese Cherry Blossom scents are classics.

I love the travel-size hand lotions and fragrance mists. I ended up getting a mixture of 50% and 75% off. They cost was less than $1.50 each. For the first time, I tried the Mad About You mist and I was addicted. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the lotion.

I picked up the Ginger Bread Latte fragrance mist and lotion. This scent smells delicious. I keep the travel-size items in my purse, car, desk, bathroom etc. I like to spritz myself throughout the day, and I use the fragrance mists on fabric furniture, sheets, and as an air freshener. The uses are endless.

I purchased eight hand soaps. I bought the Winter and Snow Kissed Citrus creamy luxe hand soap for two bucks once the $10 off coupon was applied. Winter is one of my favorite scents. It’s described as white birch and juniper berry wrapped in warm vanilla. Snow Kissed Citrus smells like freshly squeezed lemonade with lots of sugar. It’s perfect for the kitchen. The other six hand soaps cost $1.60. Here’s a description of those scents.

Sparkling Mint Blossom-Chilled mint blossom dipped in powdered sugar.

Very Merry Meringue-Whipped lemon meringue with glazed sugar and a hint of vanilla.

‘Tis the Season-Red apples, fresh cinnamon, and cloves.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin-Pumpkin, cinnamon, and sugarcane.

Merry Berry Kiss-Winter berries, snowy vanilla, crystallized ginger.

Holly Jolly Berry-Sparkling raspberries and juicy pomegranate.

*There’s holiday packaging on most of the hand soap bottles. If that bothers you, simply pull the label off the bottle and leave it plain or you can add your own decorative stickers.

Vanilla Bean and Winter Candy Apple are some of my wintertime favorites. I’ve  already declared my love for Ginger Bread Latte which smells just like its name. A new one for me is Fresh Sparkling Snow which has keynotes of iced pear, frozen melon, winter apple, snowdrop blossom, and frozen musk. It’s a soft scent. I bought two of these by accident, so I’ll keep the cute square-shaped one on my desk at work and put the second one in my car. I picked up the Eucalyptus Spearmint lotion which is nice and relaxing. All of the body creams and lotions ranged from $3 to $4.

I was surprised to find some really great smelling spring and summer scents at the sale. Cucumber Melon is a classic favorite. BBW describes it as a combination of crisp cucumbers and fresh honeydew. Sweet Escape is a new scent for me. It’s a combination of strawberries, melon, pink wildflowers, sun-kissed oak, and dewy musk. A nice mixture of sweet and spicy.

Sunshine Days grabbed my eye and I just had to get it. I like the packaging and the smell…is an intoxicating mixture of wild sunflowers, golden delicious apples, sweet summer berries, vanilla flower, and white woods. Another summer scent…Get Happy. This smells so yummy. Its key notes are white peach nectar, fresh tangerine, sparkling presecco (Italian wine), sweet hibiscus, and golden sugar.

Malibu Heat is the only scent that I bought as a complete set. This scent is electric. It’s an incredible exotic melding of pineapple, California oranges, coconut flowers, coconut milk, and sunny musk. It’s a nice clean floral and fruity scent.

Lastly, I bought about seven hand sanitizers. They ranged in price from forty-four to seventy-five cents. The candle wax melts were around $2, and the car air fresheners were $1.60. I saw this ladybug hand sanitizer holder and thought it was adorable. I paid $1.50 for it.

This seems like a lot of products for one person, but I only buy body products from BBW twice a year and it’s during the semi-annual sale. The only exception is when I pick up lotion and shower gel from the Aromatherapy line. I always get those on sale. Some of these products will be given away. I like to tuck a hand sanitizer or a travel size lotion in with a present. It’s nice to have these types of products on hand for gifting.

I hope I gave you some ideas for your BBW haul.  Look for my blog posts on the weekends and please subscribe.

Stay Blessed,

Barbie.
