It’s hot and sticky outside, but you can still smell like a rose with a spritz of a body mist.  Like most women, I love to smell sweet or spicy when I step out for the day. I shy away from heavy perfumes during the summer months, opting for body sprays and light colognes.  Here are my favorites.

Bath & Body Works has got some of the best fragrance mists on the market. They’re reasonably priced and there’s almost always a sale or coupon available. This summer I’m rockin’: Tiki Mango Mai Tai, Freesia, Be Joyful and Beautiful Day.  Some ladies say the body sprays don’t last long enough. I find they work well when you layer the scent.  First wash with  a bath gel in your chosen scent; next moisturize with lotion;  and then spray on the body mist. The scent will stay with you for hours. I toss the small bottles in my purse to freshen up during the day.

Demeter’s Ylang  Ylang is a great musky scent. The spicy aroma is known for soothing stress away.  Ylang Ylang is also a powerful aphrodisiac. Spray it on if you want to attract that special someone. The Body Shop’s Coconut body mist is simply delicious. It’s a nice nutty scent that leaves you smelling yummy.

Jor’el Parker’s Eau So Divine is a light floral scent that includes notes of sandalwood, grapefruit, ylang ylang, and jasmine. This is a mini-roller ball that I received in a monthly subscription box. It’s perfect for keeping in your purse or car. Here’s where you can buy it Eau So Divine.

I don’t think I could live without my Aura Cacia’s Relaxing Lavender body mist. I spritz this on my body and sheets every night. The lavender aroma instantly relaxes me. You can pick up the body mist at most health food stores or try Vitacost.com.

 

Aveda’s Chakra 2 Body Balancing Mist  is a long time favorite of mine. It has a strong woodsy smell. I spritz this on after a shower or bath and it immediately calms me. I’d suggest stopping by Aveda and trying all of the scents out. You’ll know which one is for you as soon as you spray it on. The body mist is pricey at $30 a bottle, but it’s well worth the money.

When I’m not spraying scents on my body, I’m spritzing a room. Two of my favorite room deodorizers are: Caribbean Escape and Winter. I get these from Bath & Body Works and White Barn. Winter is a seasonal scent. I always stock pile the scent in the winter so I can have it for the summer months.
