This review is really late. It’s for my November Ipsy and Birchbox packages. I’ve already received my December deliveries from Ipsy and Birchbox, so I’m going to make this quick. I promise to get December’s review up very soon.
November’s Birchbox is really pretty. It’s light blue and charcoal with lovely flowers on the front.
As always, there’s a card that matches the front of the box with a greeting, and on the back is a list of all the goodies in the box and their full-size prices.
Here’s a peek at the samples. Let’s start with the Rene Furterer deep conditioner.
I will probably use this as a leave-in conditioner because this tiny bottle doesn’t contain enough product to deep condition my hair. It has Shea Butter in it which my hair loves, so it should work great as a leave-in. Full size =$29.
I can’t wait to use this Make skin illuminator. I use illuminators/highlighters everyday to give my skin a little glow.
You can hopefully see it on my hand. I usually mix my illuminator in with my foundation for a soft dewy look.
This perfume sample was a nice surprise. It’s Juliette Has a Gun’s Not a Perfume. The only ingredient in this scent is Cetalox which is the core of many perfumes. It’s described as elegant and spicy…and smells amazing. Full size=$90-$120.
This is a very small sample of Ayres body polish.
There’s not enough product to actually scrub my body with so I’ll just use it as a hand exfoliator. Full-size=$25
Lastly, I received this brow definer by bbrowbar in the color Indian chocolate. It’s a decent sample size. Full size=$25.
Let’s move on to Ipsy.
I’m not crazy about the makeup bag. I’ll give it to someone who will appreciate this colorful cosmic look.
These two beauties were on the greeting card and a nice message.
The first item was a bust. Strong hold hairspray never touches my hair. It has too much alcohol and will break my hair off. Tossing it.
Now this is what I’m talking about. A Smashbox mascara. Never tried it. Heard great things. Can’t wait to give it a shot.
I was very happy to receive this sample of Josie Maran Argan Oil in a light formula.
I love this brand and I was just about to buy a new bottle. This should hold me for at least a month.
In the Fall and Winter, I enjoy a deep colored eyeshadows. Plum, maroon, bronze, browns and deep golds.
This shade is right up my alley. Luxie is a great makeup line if you’re sensitive and want a paraben-free eyeshadow. There’s no name on this color but here’s a link if you want to learn more. Luxie Makeup
This treStique lipstick crayon is a fabulous muted salmon color called Florence Fig. It’s a little drying but chapstick underneath or lipgloss on top of it solves the problem.
Ipsy and Birchbox montly subscriptions are $10 each. You get five samples every month.
See you soon and stay blessed,
